DAVA Polygon Migration Announcement

TLDR

DAVA migrates to Polygon. From Feb 28th, wearable changes will be disabled, and from Mar 2nd, the Polygon portal will start working. Migration is possible if you have just about 0.01 ETH, and the DAVA team will bear the rest of the cost.
다바는 폴리곤으로 마이그레이션합니다. 2월 28일부터 웨어러블 변경을 할 수 없게 되고, 3월 2일부터 폴리곤 포탈 작동이 시작됩니다. 0.01 ETH 정도만 준비하시면 이전이 가능하며 나머지 비용은 모두 다바 팀에서 부담합니다.

Why did we start in Ethereum / 이더리움에서 시작한 이유

Although many blockchains support NFT, Ethereum is the chain where the concept of NFT first originated and where the largest and most global NFT community is.
많은 블록체인들이 NFT를 지원하지만, 처음 NFT의 개념이 생겨난 체인이자, 가장 크고 글로벌한 NFT 커뮤니티가 형성되어 있는 곳은 이더리움입니다.

Thanks to that, starting a project on Ethereum where many metaverse projects are based in was a very natural decision for our team, as one of our core values is interoperability and the multi-metaverse. So we started creating a community on Ethereum.
그 덕분에 많은 메타버스 프로젝트의 본진이 있는 이더리움에서 프로젝트를 시작하는 것은, 메타버스에 진심인 저희 팀에게는 너무나도 당연한 결정이었습니다. 그렇게 저희는 이더리움에서 커뮤니티를 만들기 시작했습니다.

Failure to deliver value / 가치 전달에 실패

DAVA is a project that dreams of becoming an avatar of the multi-metaverse, but as it started with a small team, it required rapid market entry and hypothesis verification. We launched the project with on-chain avatar customization as our core value.
다바프로젝트는 멀티메타버스의 아바타를 꿈꾸는 프로젝트지만, 작은 팀으로부터 시작한 만큼 빠른 시장 진입과 가설 검증이 필요했습니다. 저희는 온체인 아바타 커스터마이징을 핵심 가치로 설정하고 프로젝트를 런칭했습니다.

However, Ethereum’s gas fee was too harsh for frequent on-chain activity. In particular, after the project was launched, the gas cost of the Ethereum chain soared to unprecedented levels (200–300 gwei), making it impossible to assemble parts.
그러나 이더리움의 가스비는 잦은 온체인 활동을 하기에는 너무나 가혹했습니다. 특히 프로젝트 런칭 후에 이더리움 체인의 가스비가 전무후무한 수준(200~300gwei)까지 치솟으면서 파츠 조립은 불가능한 일이 되었습니다.

“I like decorating my avatar but equipping items on-chain is too expensive for us. Cannot do it anymore.”

The community was disappointed when the project’s greatest strengths and features collapsed. Many efforts were made to revive the community, but the expectations were not met.
프로젝트의 가장 큰 장점이자 특징이 무너지자 커뮤니티는 실망했습니다. 커뮤니티를 살리기 위한 여러 노력들을 진행했지만 기대치를 충족할 수는 없었습니다.

Decided to migrate to L2 / L2로의 이동을 결정

There were various alternatives such as Arbitrum, Optimism, and IMX, but Polygon chain was chosen for consideration of fee reduction and OpenSea compatibility. Decentraland and TheSandbox also plan to support Decentraland and TheSandbox also plan to support polygon in the future, which also influenced the decision.
Arbitrum, Optimism, IMX 같은 다양한 대안들이 있었습니다만, 수수료 절감과 OpenSea 호환을 고려하여 Polygon 체인을 선택했습니다. Decentraland, TheSandbox 등도 미래에 폴리곤을 지원할 계획이다는 것도 결정에 영향을 주었습니다.

Compared to Ethereum, Polygon has a much lower transaction cost of 0.1%, and confirmation speed is more than 10 times faster.
이더리움에 비해서 폴리곤은 트랜잭션 비용이 0.1% 수준으로 훨씬 저렴하고, 체결 속도 또한 10배 이상 빠릅니다.

Details of Migration / 마이그레이션 세부사항

• On Feb 28th, the Polygon portal will start loading. From this point on, Ethereum Dava can no longer change wearables.
  2월 28일에 폴리곤 포탈이 로딩되기 시작합니다. 이 때부터 이더리움 다바는 더 이상 웨어러블을 바꾸지 못합니다.
• On Mar 2nd, the Polygon portal will finish loading and start working. All functions of 0xDAVA will be moved to the Polygon chain.
  3월 2일에 폴리곤 포탈의 로딩이 완료되고 작동을 시작합니다. 0xDAVA의 기능들은 폴리곤 체인으로 모두 이동됩니다.
• DAVA team was funded by the Polygon team. When you migrate, you will receive 1 MATIC to your wallet(once per wallet, you can send hundreds of transactions with 1 MATIC), and the Polygon network is automatically registered in the wallet.
  다바 팀은 폴리곤 팀에서 자금을 지원받았습니다. 마이그레이션에 참여하면 지갑에 1 매틱이 지급되고(지갑 당 한 번, 1 매틱으로 수백번씩 트랜잭션을 날릴 수 있습니다), 지갑에 자동으로 폴리곤 네트워크가 등록됩니다.
• All gas fees for the migration bridge are paid by the team. Prepare only less than 0.01 ETH required for the contract approval fee. Claiming Polygon NFT requires a small fee, but in most cases 1 MATIC is sufficient.
  마이그레이션 브릿지의 수수료는 모두 팀이 냅니다. 컨트랙트 승인에 필요한 0.01이더 이하의 수수료만 준비하세요. 폴리곤 NFT 클레임에 소량의 수수료가 필요하지만 대부분 1 매틱이면 충분합니다.
• We only support one-way migration from Ethereum to polygons, and all humanoids and wearables are moved at once. The Ethereum humanoid is changed to a special NFT and a new Polygon DAVA will be created. Ethereum wearables will be changed to Polygon wearables.
  이더리움에서 폴리곤으로의 단방향 이동만 가능하며, 모든 휴머노이드와 아이템이 한 번에 이동됩니다. 이더리움 휴머노이드는 특별 NFT로 변경되고 폴리곤 다바가 새로 생깁니다. 이더리움 웨어러블은 마이그레이션을 진행하면 폴리곤 웨어러블로 변경됩니다.
• During the migration process, all parts attached to the humanoid will be dismounted.
  마이그레이션 과정에서, 휴머노이드에 장착되어 있던 파츠는 모두 장착 해제됩니다.
• In Polygon, the uniqueness of a fully-equipped humanoid(no empty slot) is guaranteed, and other users cannot copy the style. If you have the style you want, take the lead.
  폴리곤에서는 모든 파츠를 장착한 휴머노이드(빈 슬롯이 없음)는 유일성이 보장되며 다른 유저들이 스타일을 카피할 수 없습니다. 원하는 스타일이 있다면 선점하세요.
• In Polygon, changing the wearable burns the old humanoid and creates a new one. Currently, OpenSea includes burnt NFTs in its total supply, so the total supply displayed in OpenSea may exceed 10k. But the actual total supply remains 10k.
  폴리곤에서는 웨어러블을 바꾸면 기존 휴머노이드가 소각되고 새로운 휴머노이드가 생깁니다. 현재 OpenSea는 소각된 NFT도 총 갯수에 포함하고 있기 때문에 OpenSea에 표기되는 총 갯수는 10k를 넘을 수 있습니다. 하지만 실제 총 갯수는 10k로 유지됩니다.
• After the migration portal opens, the team will develop the project only on the Polygon chain.
  마이그레이션 포탈 작동 이후의 프로젝트 개발은 폴리곤 체인에서만 진행됩니다.
